Inventory of the Chateau of Baux, 1426

The goods inventoried apparently belonged to the Provencal Countess Elipde, d'Avelin after her death.  She was the daughter of Raymond, Count of Aveline and Jeanne de Beaufort, wife of Odon de Villars (1) and Conrad, Count of Fribourg and Neufchatel.

31. Item, un autre petit caissecte de boix en quoy a .i. floquart* de velut noir garni de paillettes et de perles menues, et .i. petit fremaillet à fassone de couronne garni de vi perles, iii balais et .i. safir au millieu.
[Item, another small box of wood in which is an escoffion of black velvet garnished with sequins and small pearls, and one small set on piece (?) in the fashion of a coronal, garnished with 6 pearls, 3 balas and i sapphire in the middle.

* The article describes this as a coiffure.  It is clear that this is a headpiece from the description.  The similarity of the words meaning 'floss' (silk) perhaps suggest that a floquart may have been a stuffed piece.

32. Item, ung bourrelet de taffatan vert garni d'une frontiere à vi petites assietes d'or, garnie chascune de deux balais et deux esmeraudes et une perle au milieu et de troches de perles chascune de quatre perles.
[Item, a stuffed roll of green taffeta garnished with a frontlet of 6 small links of gold, each one garnished with two balas and two emeralds and one pearl in the middle and sets? of pearls each one of four pearls.]

[Item, a fitted gown of cloth of gold of good weight, one hood of red chamlet, with a border of black velvet.

7.  Item, .i. mantel de drap blanc broudé les orles simple.
[Item, a cloak of blue cloth embroidered with simple edgings.]

8.  Item, .i. robe de brunnette broudée de perles à petites manches, sans fourrure, .i. robe d'escarlete à grans manches frepées, dont les manches sont broudées de petis boullons dorés simples.
[Item, a robe of brunnette* embroidered with pearls with small sleeves, without lining, a robe of scarlet with big dagged (?) sleeves that are embroidered with small simple gold balls.]
*Brunnette -a luxury fabric, darkly colored manufactured in Flanders of Picardy.

[Item, a tight cote of single cloth of gold with pendants (tippets?)]

10.  Item, une grand robe de drap de Damas pers, a grans manches ouvertes, simple.
[Item, a large gown of blue damask cloth, with large sleeves, open, unlined..]

11.  Item, une autre robe de drap de Damas pers ouvré, à petis ouvrages, à petites manches, toute simple.
Item, another gown of worked blue damask cloth, with small motifs, with small sleeves, unlined.

12.  Item, une grand robe d'escarlate à alerons, fourrée de tercelin rouge, dont les ales sont broudées de perles.
[Item, a large gown of scarlet with 'wings', lined with red tercelin, where the 'wings' are embroidered with pearls.]

13.  Item, un huppelande de drap de laine verde à grans manches ouvertes broudés les orles, doublés de tercelin noir.
[Item, a houppelande of green woolen cloth with large open sleeves embroidered on the edges, lined with black tercelin.]

15.  Item, une benne ou cornude* de fuste plaine de pieces de peletrie, tant de gris comme de vairs, tant noves, comme vielles.
